Bingo Bonuses

There are five different types of bonuses in bingo which are all good in their own special way. It is better to use at least one of these bonuses when playing online bingo as it can give you a distinct advantage.

Free / No Deposit Bonus

This bonus can also be known as a Sign Up Bonus and is the bonus which a player receives when they first register with an online bingo site.

This is truly free as no deposit is required but can only be used to play bingo on the site which you receive the bonus from.

You should grab these bonuses with both hands and use them to your full advantage. No deposit bonuses are great!

The bingo site gives you these bonuses in the hope that you will enjoy playing bingo with them so much that you will come back and pay for tickets next time.

Initial Deposit Bonus

This bonus is also known as a Welcome Bonus, Match Bonus or First Time Deposit Bonus. Some bingo sites call this bonus a Sign Up Bonus. However, this name is incorrect because this bonus is only given to players the first time they make a real money deposit with the bingo software, not when the player registers with the site.

Typically the initial deposit bonus will be calculated according to how much money you deposit. For example, most online bingo halls will offer a 100% to 500% initial deposit bonus.

However, be aware the initial deposit bonus is often held in a “bonus fund” and then transferred to your cash balance when you have purchased a certain value in bingo tickets.

Online bingo halls give players this bonus in order to encourage the player to play at their site and not a competitor’s. It is worth remembering that there are numerous companies which offer this bonus so your choice is vast!

However, please be careful as you won’t be able to withdraw most initial deposit bonuses, only any winnings on them, and in some cases even that is heavily restricted.

The below sites DO Allow you to withdraw your Initial Deposit Bonus and any winnings (after you’ve met the turn over requirements):

  1. Bet365 – Deposit and spend £50 on bingo tickets and your £100 bonus is automatically released. (£100 bonus can be withdrawn along with any winnings after you have spent a further £400 on tickets with your bonus money.)*
  2. Ladbrokes – Deposit and spend £10 on bingo tickets and your £30 bonus is automatically released. (£30 bonus can be withdrawn along with any winnings after you have spent a further £60 on tickets with your bonus money.)*

Reload Bonus

The reload bonus is similar to the initial deposit bonus but this bonus is given to players on subsequent visits to the bingo site, after their first deposit.

Usually the reload bonus is slightly lower than the first time deposit bonus. However, the more often you play, the quicker this bonus will increase. Once the bingo site no longer offers you a reload/match bonus you would probably think it wise to move on to another site. However, this is not always the case – it can be worth making the most of the fourth type of bonus which is the….

Loyalty Bonus

This bonus does exactly what it says on the tin! The bingo site will give you a bonus depending on how loyal you are to their bingo site. So the more you play the more bonuses you get and the more often you may be given things like free bingo cards, deposit bonuses, merchandise or whatever else the bingo site has to offer you at that particular point in time.

However, in most cases loyalty bonuses come in loyalty points or gems which you can transfer for free bingo events or tickets.

Free Bingo

Free bingo is exactly as it sounds, you can attend bingo events where the tickets are 0p! Bingo sites often offer this bonus to current members, so when you spend a certain amount on tickets you will be given free events you can attend. Online bingo rooms give out this bonus to keep players coming back to their site and not a competitors.

A great site currently offering daily free bingo events is Paddy Power.

Sticky Initial Deposit Bonus

Be careful when using other sites which may offer better bonuses. Most places won’t allow you to withdraw the bonus, it may sound like a great deal but they could have what is called a ‘sticky’ bonus, this means that you will not be able to withdraw the bonus, only any winnings that you make with the bonus or in some cases not even this.

You could even find yourself not being able to withdraw what you deposited until you have turned over a bonus which cannot be withdrawn – You have been warned!
